Scottish Birdfair,Puffin Fest & Benbecula

I wrote  this blog whilst I was in Benbecula in The Outer Hebrides it's a beautiful place and it's great to be back but I'll talk on more on that in a bit. I said in my last blog I'll talk about The Scottish Birdfair & Puffin Fest so here it goes Had a great time at The Scottish Birdfair on 10th-11th of May I went on both days and despite the weather forecast saying it was to be miserable, it turned out to be very sunny it made it all worth while. The Birdfair had lots of Stalls from The RSPB,Scottish Wildlife Trust,The BTO,Scottish Seabird Centre, The SOC & many more. There were talks throughout the day from the likes of Stephen Moss & The Urban Birder David Lindo, there was throughout the day Bird Ringing Demonstrations from The BTO which was always fascinating to watch overall it was a great Birdfair and can't wait for next year. After The Scottish Birdfair a week later I went to North Berwick to visit my fav wildlife attraction The Scottish Seabird Centre who were hosting their first Puffin Fest it was great there was so many Puffin like events from talks, book signing, children activities and a boat trip to Craigleith to see Puffins & other seabirds which I did go on it was worth the Fest, Puffin Fest ran from 16th-26th May. I'm in Benbecula like I said its great to be here been birding in various places in Benbecula, North & South Uist. Last year my fav tick was a Snowy Owl this year must be a Arctic Skua over in Hosta Bay. I've not heard much of Corncrakes this year but I'm still here for a week so who knows what will happen. Until next time have a great month.

Autumn Is Here

Welcome to my brand new site unfortunately  I couldn't update my website so I have decided to make a blog site here.

We are now in the Autumn season and I have already heard Geese in the distance but I'm looking forward looking out for Waxwings in the next few weeks and months. I normally love watching Graylag Geese in the distance at Cramond. This is just a short introduction so keep checking back soon.

This Photo was taken last November.
